Five years after his last visit to Madrid with ‘Dead Can Dance’, Brendan Perry was playing at Heyneken Concert Hall for a very few audience and with a four members band that allowed him to show off as absolute ceremony master.

He played themes from his new album ‘Ark’ perfectly linked with other themes from ‘Eye Of The Hunter’ as ‘Medusa’, ‘Voyage Of Bran’, etc. ‘Eye Of The Hunter’ is actually his unique solo album for the moment as far as ‘Ark’ has not been released yet.

As you can see in the photos, band stage behavior can be summarized just as a theater backdrop and Brendan figure in the middle of the scene enhancing against the rest of the band.

He hardly made two comments during the concert staying absolutely static in front of the public. This seriousness besides public interest and respect left Brendan focused on sound closing his eyes while several songs.

His feature voice sounded even deeper than it sounds in his albums becoming more and more interesting as good wines do. He dared with some themes from ‘Dead Can Dance’ being best ‘The carnival is Over’ and ‘A passage in time’.

‘Severance’ closed concert with an unanimous ovation. All concert was a great tribute to his musical career, conducted and played by himself.
