Foto matutina tras mi típica visita dominical al museo con la mejor programación de exposiciones fotográficas de la capital. Estas bicicletas descansaban en el lateral de la entrada del Reina Sofía. Me llamó la atención la perspectiva de los anclajes y la soledad de las bicis al fondo.

Salgo con una cámara algunas noches de insomnio y disparo sin enfocar y a bajas velocidades, a sabiendas de que la imagen resultante saldrá borrosa. No me importa, el resultado a veces me sorprende y agrada.
Desde la huelga ilegal de los controladores aéreos veo borroso a mi alrededor sin usar objetivo alguno. Tengo la impresión de que alguien me está moviendo la realidad y que no podré enfocarla en mucho tiempo.
I go out some sleepless nights with a camera shooting without focusing and with low shutter speeds. I know I will get a blur image doing this but I really don’t care. Sometimes I am happy with the results.
Since air traffic controllers went on illegal strike I see all blur around me without using any photo lens. I have a feeling someone is shaking reality and I won’t be able to focus it on a long time. Ver Más... / See More...

Me encanta fotografiar tiendas. Es muy estimulante no saber como resolverás los problemas de iluminación y encuadre con que de seguro te vas a encontrar. Y es muy gratificante resolverlos.
En este caso, el buen hacer de los dueños facilita la tarea. Pocas veces me he encontrado con un espacio abierto al público tan ordenado, limpio y con tanto cariño en los detalles.
Polar Shop tiene ropa interesante y con personalidad propia, una clientela fiel y una tienda cómoda y con encanto.
I love photographing shops. Its very challenging to go to a place knowing that you will have some issues to light and frame for sure. And its so grateful to solve them!.
This time it was easier because of owners good work. Only a few times I saw a public place so tidy, clean and with so attention to details.

Cuándo trabajas con niños deberías saber que la foto que tienes planificada en tu mente, no va a salir. A lo mejor llegas a un resultado tan bueno como el deseado, pero este, será distinto al esperado.
Suelo intentar tener todo bajo control en el Estudio, pero, con un niño pequeño involucrado en un retrato familiar de Halloween, mejor que no lo tengas todo perfectamente proyectado...
Dado que este angelito es hijo de una buena amiga mía, me siento libre para decir que no creo que necesite disfraz alguno. Él es un puro y real malvado demonio. Estuve pensando arrojarle a la cabeza mi Nikon D3x un par de veces durante la sesión... Si, lo sé, no debería tener niños...
When you work with children you should know that all picture to take in mind is not going to happen. You maybe get a good shoot, but this one will be other than expected.
I use to be an ‘all under control’ kind of man at Studio, but, with a little boy involved in a Halloween family portrait, better not to plan the photo too far...
As far as this child is son of a close friend of mine, I am free to say that he really doesn’t need a Halloween costume. He is a pure and real bad demon. Some samples from a studio photo session with Alejandra Fabra and trying to get some twenties look like.
Algunos ejemplos de una sesión de estudio con Alejandra Fabra, tratando de buscar un acabado ‘años veinte’.
Problem in my mind... all real pictures I can remember with this finishing are 90 years old, so, the picture we are seeing now doesn’t look same as they should when the photographer took them. All we have now is low contrast and ugly yellow color dominant. But I think they really were bright and pure, with high contrast and local definition just in some face areas. Someone there to guide me?
El problema que se me ocurre... todas las fotos reales que recuerdo con este acabado tienen 90 años, por lo que la foto que vemos ahora poco tiene que ver con la que fue cuando el fotógrafo la tomó. Todo lo que queda ahora es bajo contraste y una fea dominante amarillenta. Pero creo que realmente debieron ser brillantes y puras, con alto contraste y definición parcial sólo en algunas áreas. ¿Alguien por ahí para sacarme de dudas? Ver Más... / See More...

A Brutus, mi hermana y yo le dábamos tratamiento de hermano. Nunca supe si de hermano mayor o de hermano pequeño, imagino que dependía del día y de nuestro grado de inmadurez. Murió a las 6 de esta madrugada a un par de meses de cumplir 18 años y como era habitual en él, cerca de mi padre que no se separó de su lado.
