Con motivo de la pandemia COVID-19, la reapertura del Estudio Fotográfico en la nueva ubicación sufrirá retrasos aún sin determinar.
Dada la situación y por un criterio de responsabilidad, tampoco realizaremos sesiones de fotos en exteriores.
En función de como evolucione esta difícil situación os iremos informando.
Os deseamos que esta crisis os afecte lo menor posible tanto a nivel de salud como laboral.
Volveremos con fuerza, seguro. ¡Ánimo!

Comunicamos que hasta nuevo aviso suspendemos las actividades del Estudio.
¡Dejamos Madrid Centro y nos mudamos al campo!
Nos hemos enamorado Del Valle del Tietar y allí nos llevamos el estudio.
Esperamos que esté todo dispuesto durante el segundo trimestre de este 2020.
Las nuevas instalaciones ampliarán el tamaño del plató y pronto esperamos también poder aumentar nuestra oferta comercial con fotografía y filmación aérea desde drones.

De cada retrato, en el Estudio entregamos siempre tres versiones. Una en color, otra en acabado digamos creativo, y otra en blanco y negro clásico.
Gonzalo works for a well known local fashion company. He combines his work at company store with fashion stylist.
Our Studio gives always three versions of each portrait. One is color, other one is creative color, and the last one is classic black and white.

Cuando entró Guillermo en mi Estudio para unas promos me acuerdo que me pareció un chico tímido y con cara de bueno. Así que la primera idea que me vino a la cabeza fue intentar conseguir una imagen con carácter y cierta oscuridad. En cuanto se lo pedí, apareció el actor y desapareció el chico bueno y retraído... Guillermo Campra se ha dado a conocer por su papel en la serie Águila Roja donde interpreta a Alonso, el hijo de Gonzalo de Montalvo/Águila Roja. Estas imágenes se tomaron en una sesión que no duró ni 15 minutos. Lo que le bastó para transformarse y clavar la imagen que tenía en mi cabeza. Un joven y prometedor actor.
As soon as Guillermo came into my Studio for a photo promos I remember myself thinking about how kind and good boy he looks like. So first idea in my mind was trying an image with strong character and some darkness. At the moment I asked Guillermo for this, the actors appears and the shy and withdrawn boy disappears.... Guillermo Campra became popular playing a role at Águila Roja Tv Show where he is Alonso, (Gonzalo de Montalvo/Águila Roja’s son). These photos are part of a session which was not even 15 minutes. That was just the time he needed to change himself and get the image I had in my mind. A young and rising actor.

Deciding How To Set Frames For Photo Promos Of A Movie (Ovelar Studios, 28 Jan 2014)
Antes de retocar estas fotos, es necesario decidir las posiciones de los retratos de estudio sobre los fondos. Así evitas repetir trabajo… Una vez decidida la posición final y el encuadre, igualaré la iluminación del fondo y del primer plano para un ajuste perfecto.
Before retouching this kind of works, its good to decide with clients best position of portraits over the background. Trabajo de imagen corporativa para Friday’s. La inauguración de su nuevo local en la calle Peligros de Madrid merecía unas imágenes que le hicieran justicia. Realmente impresionante el sitio, cómodo y con múltiples rincones para evadirse un rato. Eduardo el dos veces campeón del concurso de coctelería acrobática domina la barra central… ¡si te gustan los cócteles no dudes en pasarte!. Hice varias versiones de cada imagen, desde un realismo natural hasta un acabado más cerca del cómic. Estas últimas son las que veis aquí. He añadido las realistas a pequeño tamaño al final. Espero que os gusten.
Those pictures are from my work of Corporative Image for Friday’s. New restaurant at Peligros street in Madrid deserves really impact pictures. It’s absolutely impressive, comfortable and plenty of peaceful corners to escape from the city. Eduardo is twice bartender championship and he’s the king of the bar… You like cocktails, you should go there!. I did several versions of each image, some as a realistic look, others closer to a comic look. Those are the ones you are seeing here. I added the realistic versions to the end in a lower size. La fotografía de producto empezó siendo un modo de complementar los ingresos del Estudio y se ha convertido sin quererlo en una de sus especialidades. Tal como están las cosas en el sector fotográfico, hay que saber hacer bien de casi todo si quieres sobrevivir. En parte echo de menos los tiempos en que un fotógrafo podía especializarse en un área determinada y vivir de ello. Por otra parte, gracias a la preparación técnica que se adquiere teniendo que fotografiar de todo,…, podemos defendernos de los miles de ‘no fotógrafos’ piratas que, con una lamentable preparación técnica o capacidad artística, y sin dar de alta en la Seguridad Social, compiten contigo hundiendo los precios del mercado y bajando el nivel de la fotografía española. De las revistas y periódicos, mejor ni hablamos. Para ellos la fotografía no es ya algo por lo que se deba pagar… y así va el nivel de la mancha gráfica nacional.
Product photography started for me as a way to complement Studio incomes and it’s accidentally one of our current specialities. Photo business is a messy right now. To survive here you need to know your work very well being able to shoot a lot of very different subjects. I miss a little times when a photographer could be an expert at just one photo area making a living with it. In the other hand, shooting so many different subjects now you increase your technical abilities and defend yourself from those thousand of ‘not really photographers’ destroying this market with their less than zero capacity, not paying taxes, decreasing prices in market and sinking the spanish photography level to the current situation. About magazines and newspapers is better not to talk. For them, photography is something they don’t have to pay for anymore… so you can see photography level at news-stands. Ver Más... / See More...

Fotografiar niños no es precisamente lo que más me gusta. Son modelos difíciles de manipular y que te acaban manipulando a ti. La sesión con Juan fue rápida y precisa. Expresivo y simpático, este chico debería hacer publicidad.
Photographing children is not the part of my job that I enjoy more. They are difficult to manipulate models, and at last, the one manipulated is you. Juan’s session was quick and precise. Este domingo en la mañana tenía planificada una de las sesiones de fotos para el libro de motos con Martín, mecánico de Harley y propietario de varias motos que están en mi lista de deseos… Íbamos a realizarla en una nave industrial vacía que usan aficionados al BMX. Al final, el que tenía que traernos la llave para darnos acceso al recinto nos dio un soberano plantón por lo que tuvimos que aplazarla. Sin embargo aprovechamos un viejo sillón que había junto al Estudio para tirar unas cuantas fotos y matar el desencanto.
Last Sunday morning I have a photo session on schedule with Martín for my motorbikes book. Martín works at Harley Davidson Madrid as a bikes mechanic and he has some bikes that I have in my desire list… We planned to did session into an industrial building used by BMX enthusiasts but at last we had to put it off until other weekend because the guy in charge of getting the building keys to us didn’t show up. Fotografiar un grupo de 44 personas en 3 filas tiene su aquel. Este presupuesto incluía flashes ligeros en lugar de potentes flashes de estudio con lo que la iluminación rozaba el límite. 4 Nikon SB-28 a máxima potencia hicieron el trabajo y permitieron disparar a ISO 400, f/8 y 1/80.
Shooting a group of 44 people group has some technical issues. This budget was for light flashes instead of powerful studio flashes so lighting was on the edge. 4 Nikon SB-28 at full power did the job and let me shot using ISO 400, f/8 y 1/80. Ver Más... / See More...

Uno de los proyectos de mi querido Dani Mortaja. Si recuerdo bien, este fue el estreno de Nueva Autoridad Democrática en concierto. No pude hacer más de una decena de fotos. Un fallo en el anillo de enfoque del compacto Nikkor 18-200mm hacía imposible enfocar. Máscaras de enfoque y de grano simulado han permitido salvar alguna de las imágenes…

Los book para publicidad no deben ser muy ‘retocados’ ni artificiales; han de ser naturales pero mostrando distintos registros del modelo. Simplicidad pero con actitud… Gonzalo tiene muchos registros y los usa en películas, series y publicidad… ¡aunque casi siempre le hacen hacer de malo!!!
Advertising books don’t have to be very pretentious… Natural pose is the key here but showing different range of expressions and attitudes too. Gonzalo has all of those staff and he uses them at movies, TV shows, and advertising… but they almost always make him play a bad guy role!!! Ver Más... / See More...

Aunque creo sentir a veces su significado, nunca he entendido completamente la expresión española ‘estar a los pies de los caballos’… ¿No será ‘a las patas’?

Fotografiar productos para publicidad, catálogos, webs, etc., es otra de las actividades del Estudio. Siempre es un reto. En todos los lotes hay unidades con desperfectos a disimular, o la empresa no ha diseñado el empaquetado definitivo del producto, y el que te dan es un prototipo en papel impreso con una impresora doméstica y pegado con celo..., o llevan un plástico que emite mil reflejos a eliminar, y por no hablar de los plazos de entrega; cuando llega el trabajo al Estudio ya están fuera de plazo y tus noches se alargan entre flashes...
Shooting products for advertising, brochures, websites, etc., is other of our Studio activities. And it’s always a challenging. Each batch of products has some units with broken parts to hide, or customer doesn’t have the final packaging so you get a paper prototype printed in a domestic printer and joined by glue..., or some of them have a plastic blister so bright that you drive mad to avoid reflections, and its better not to talk about deadlines; when you have the work at Studio, your customer it’s so pressing about time that your next nights will be plenty of flashes... En la última concentración de Harley Davidson en Madrid conocí a bastante gente interesante. Luciano es el feliz propietario de varias Harleys y un precioso Mustang que espero, ¡algún día me preste para una sesión fotográfica!... Su HD favorita es la que aparece en este improvisado retrato.
